Technical SEO Audit
Before you write a single line of content or earn a single backlink, your site needs to be technically sound. A technical SEO audit reveals everything stopping Google from understanding, crawling and ranking your pages correctly.
A site can have the best design and content in the world, if it's slow, poorly indexed, or riddled with technical errors, Google will never show it to the right people. The technical SEO audit is the mandatory starting point of any serious SEO strategy, it's also the first step of our free trial.
We analyze your site with the same tools and criteria Google uses to assess page quality: load speed, Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS), URL structure, HTML markup, indexation, internal linking, mobile compatibility and security.
Ignoring technical fundamentals has a direct cost: a slow-loading page loses a large share of its mobile visitors before its content even appears, and a simple indexation error can make an entire page invisible on Google, regardless of how good its content is. These problems are often invisible from your own browser, but perfectly measurable with the right tools, which is exactly what this audit reveals.
For a trilingual site like most Belgian businesses run (FR/NL/EN), the audit covers a point generic tools often miss: hreflang tags. A misconfigured hreflang tag can cause Google to show your Dutch version to a French-speaking visitor, or worse, treat your three versions as duplicate content and index only one of them. It's one of the most common technical issues we find on Belgian multilingual sites, and one of the costliest in lost traffic.
We also pay close attention to the site's history: a poorly handled redesign or CMS migration almost always leaves missing or chained redirects behind, which dilute the authority your older pages had built up. If your site has changed platform, URL structure, or CMS in recent years, that's often the first source of lost traffic we identify.
Many of our Belgian clients discover, during this first audit, that a meaningful share of their pages is never actually crawled by Google: either accidentally blocked in robots.txt, or simply not linked to from anywhere else on the site. This kind of problem is invisible while browsing the site normally, but it directly translates into pages that will never generate a single visitor from organic search, no matter how good their content is.
What the audit covers
- Full Google indexation analysis (indexed, excluded and error pages)
- Real Core Web Vitals measurement: LCP, INP (the metric that replaced FID in March 2024) and CLS, on mobile and desktop
- URL structure, redirect and broken link (404) checks
- HTML markup audit: titles, meta descriptions, Hn hierarchy, canonical tags
- Internal linking and click-depth analysis
- Mobile compatibility and security checks (HTTPS, certificates)
- Duplicate content and canonicalization issue detection
- A prioritized report: what to fix first, and why
- Hreflang tag checks across your FR, NL and EN versions (a frequent cause of international duplicate content)
- Redirect history analysis following any previous migrations or redesigns
- robots.txt and XML sitemap checks to confirm no important page is accidentally blocked
How we work
Who this audit is for
Your organic traffic is flat or declining
A technical audit often reveals causes invisible to the naked eye: deindexed pages, crawl errors, excessive load times.
You're launching a new site or redesign
Better to fix the technical foundations before investing in content and link building.
You don't know why you're not ranking
If your content is good but nothing's happening in Google, the problem is almost always technical.
Your site recently changed platform or URLs
A poorly executed migration often leaves missing redirects that lose the authority your older pages had built up, an audit confirms this quickly.
